Introduction A few years ago, I found myself in a moment that changed everything. It was early 2020, and the world felt like it was falling apart. COVID-19 had just hit, and I was navigating the uncertainty of being pregnant with our first child. I wanted to be the best mom, wife, daughter and friend, but I felt like I was falling short in every role. I was overwhelmed, unsure of my next steps, and questioning whether life could ever feel fulfilling again. Despite these feelings, deep down, I knew I had more potential. I wanted more—not just for myself but for my family. I wanted to create a life where I could truly prioritize them without feeling torn between responsibilities. That desire drove me to dive into books, blogs, and podcasts about personal growth, resilience, and building a better future. Some nights, I was so tired I barely made it through a chapter, but even one sentence about hope or resilience felt like a lifeline to me. I joined communities of like-minded people, learned about the possibilities of time and financial freedom, and began to uncover who I really was and what I was capable of. In that moment of doubt, I discovered something powerful: resilience. It wasn’t about never falling—it was about getting back up, time and time again. That realization became my anchor, and it’s what inspired me to create this blog.
This space is for anyone who feels stuck, uncertain, or overwhelmed. It’s for those who need a reminder that struggles are part of the journey and that resilience is the bridge to freedom and happiness.
The Journey
My story is not without its challenges. As a veteran, mom, and entrepreneur, I’ve faced moments of intense struggle—from navigating mental health challenges to rebuilding my life after personal and professional setbacks. But through it all, I’ve learned that resilience isn’t just a trait; it’s a skill you can build. And resilience doesn’t just help you survive—it’s the key to creating a life of time freedom and financial freedom. By focusing on what matters most, I’ve found ways to align my goals with my values, making progress toward a future where my time is my own and my family comes first.
There were times I didn’t think I could keep going. My anxiety often felt paralyzing, leaving me unsure of how to move forward. Balancing motherhood, a military career, and my own mental health felt impossible. But small steps—like asking for help, focusing on self-care, and setting realistic goals—made all the difference. These lessons are at the heart of everything I share here. For example, when I hit a low point juggling a military career and a newborn, I leaned on a daily gratitude practice to reframe my mindset. The good news is, resilience isn’t reserved for a select few. It’s a skill anyone can build, one step at a time.
Your Journey Matters
This blog isn’t just about my story—it’s about yours. What’s one area in your life where you want to build resilience? What small step can you take today? Whether you’re struggling with mental health, trying to recover from setbacks, or dreaming of time and financial freedom, you are not alone.
My goal is to provide you with the tools, inspiration, and hope to take those first steps. Resilience isn’t about perfection or having all the answers—it’s about showing up, even on the hard days, like when your toddler has a meltdown over the “wrong color” cup, or you’ve reheated your coffee for the third time and still haven’t taken a sip. It’s about believing that change is possible, even in the chaos.
I’m still on this journey myself, working toward my vision of freedom and balance. Along the way, I’ll share what I’ve learned and what’s helped me move forward. Together, we can turn challenges into opportunities and dreams into reality.
I believe everyone has the power to overcome their struggles and create a life they love. While I’m still working toward my own vision of financial freedom, I’m sharing the lessons I’ve learned and the steps I’m taking to get there.
